Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an exceptionally talented Maintenance Technician to work at London’s most exciting entertainment venue, who will be dedicated to the Hippodrome with a desire to develop their career.  You will be responsible for ensuring The Hippodrome's building services are functioning effectively and all equipment, fixtures and fittings are in safe working order, as well as undertaking reactive and planned maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies.
  • Support the Building Services team in delivering high-quality services that meet environmental and health & safety standards.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with schedules, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed.
  • Perform routine inspections of plant rooms and building systems, promptly reporting and addressing any faults or concerns.
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and internal systems, ensuring reactive maintenance issues are resolved within required timeframes.
  • Undertake basic electrical tasks including PAT testing, fault finding, and minor repairs (e.g. replacing fuses and lighting).
  • Assist with the maintenance and minor repair of heating, ventilation, and general building systems.
  • Carry out a range of general maintenance and manual tasks to maintain and enhance the building environment

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician
  • Professional, positive and results focused
  • Highly organised and able to work under pressure
  • Forward thinking and continually looking for innovative ways to improve
  • Eighteen years old or over
